Former President John Dramani Mahama the flag bearer for the National Democratic Congress In the Just ended 2020 election sent a very strong message to Sammy Gyamfi the Communication Manager of the party after the remarks he made against some party leaders.

The Former president made a statement on his social media platforms when it was responding to comments made on social media by the NDC communications officer claiming that John Mahama is the man behind the statement made by Sammy Gyamfi.

After Parliament passed the first batch of President Akufo-nominees, Addo’s he called the minority caucus traitors, particularly three of them who had been initially rejected by the minority.

Names like Haruna Idrissu and Mubarak Muntaka were specifically named in his statement as those who had betrayed the group. John Mahama reacting to this statement said that Sammy Gyamfi went to far by making this statement to these leaders and that he is not supposed to hide behind his back to do that.

Former President John Dramani has been urged by the New Patriotic Party (NPP) to congratulate President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo on his victory in the 2020 presidential election.
“It is not too late for Mr John Mahama to congratulate President Akufo-Addo, whose resounding win in the 2020 election has been confirmed by the Supreme Court.

“It is for this reason that the NPP is urging the former President to act in the national interest,” the party said in a statement signed by its General Secretary, Mr John Boadu.

It urged Mr Mahama, the NDC’s presidential candidate for 2020, to recognize the Supreme Court’s decision on the 2020 Election Petition as a mark of statesmanship and adherence to the rule of law, even though he disagreed with the decision.

Many had expected the petitioner, Mr Mahama, to follow the successful example of the petitioner in the 2012 Election Petition, Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo, who disagreed with the Supreme Court’s decision at the time but acknowledged it and congratulated the then President, Mr Mahama, in the national interest, following the Supreme Court’s judgment on March 4, 2021.

“I have called President John Dramani Mahama and congratulated him on being elected the fourth President of our country,” President Akufo-Addo said after the 2012 election petition, according to the study.

Our nation’s Supreme Court has spoken, and the results of the December 2012 presidential election have been reported as having been won by the NDC’s nominee, President Mahama. As I previously said, I accept the court’s ruling, even though I disagree with it. I agree that the court’s decision puts the election conflict to a close.”

According to the statement, the NPP agreed with Mr Mahama in 2013 when he said, “The Courts cannot give you what the people have not given you.”

According to the statement, Mr Mahama may have missed an opportunity to replicate President Akufo-enviable Addo’s feat of 2013 and have his name written in the history books of consummate and patriotic democrats.

It did say, however, that it was not too late for Mr Mahama to make amends.

It said, “It is not too late for John Mahama to accept his fate and accept the decision of the nation’s Apex Court, even if he disagrees with the judgment.”

His Excellency, President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo’s state of the nation address (SONA)to be delivered on Tuesday, 9 March will no longer take place at the appointed time, 8:30 a.m.

The programme has been shifted to 1:00 pm that same day, a statement dated March 5 issued by Parliament has said.

The move was necessitated by the House’s business for the week, the statement continued.

“For the knowledge of all dignitaries who have been invited to attend the presentation by the President of the Republic of Ghana, Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo, on the State of the Nation Message scheduled for Tuesday, 9 March 20231, it is announced that the time of the event has been changed from 8:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.
