b>I am in favor of Akufo-Addo.
President Nana Akufo-Addo and his government have also received Allotey Jacobs’ full support.
“What is happening in this world, and what I have seen in my years in politics, is that our governance structure is changing dramatically. I’m seeing the emergence of a new form of leadership. When you take Kwame Nkrumah out of the picture, you see a new leadership in this country,” Allotey said.
“I’m seeing a shift in our governance system…” he said. It takes a lot of people to build a country, so we should sometimes put our political differences aside and look at what the new system is doing and give it our full support because, at the end of the day, it will help all of us.”
Allotey went on to say that he appreciated the President’s State of the Nation Address, saying, “I enjoyed the President’s State of the Nation Address.”
On Peace FM’s “Kokrokoo,” he said these things.
President Akufo-Addo discussed the economy’s various sectors and highlighted his accomplishments as well as his vision for his second term in office.
“Mr. Speaker, Government has achieved a number of important milestones in our effort to formalize and modernize the Ghanaian economy in four years,” the President said. We assume it is the most equitable and expedient means of achieving our objectives.
The implementation of the National Identity Card, the National Digital Property Addressing Scheme, the interoperability of mobile money transactions, the introduction of paperless operations at the port, the e-business registration system, and access to digital financial services are all part of the effort to formalize our economy and boost efficiency.”
”Four years ago, it sounded recklessly optimistic, but Free SHS and Free TVET are now entrenched parts of our educational setup. In a few years’ time, we can guarantee that the basic education for the workforce in our country would be at the secondary level. It is a transformational step we have taken, which should quicken the pace of development all round, and give us confidence in our future.”
“Mr. Speaker, Ghana rice is the preferred choice in an increasing number of our homes, as the growing, processing and packaging of rice become a more established and attractive industry.”
“During this COVID crisis, we have, mercifully, been spared the spectre of food shortages. On the contrary, thanks to Planting for Food and Jobs, food has been in abundance in our markets across the country. Throughout the ages, food processing has provided the takeoff point for the industrialisation of many nations, and we are taking that lesson to heart as we pursue the goal to industrialise, modernise and create jobs for the young people of our nation.”
“The One-District-One-Factory program is part of the anchor on which we are building the comprehensive industrialisation of our country. Much of the work has now been done to put in place the framework for the rapid implementation of projects. The factories, that are currently in place and in production, reflect the underlying principle of the program, which is the equitable distribution of development projects around the country. The prospects of our becoming the automobile hub in West Africa are growing stronger every day, with the investments being made in the country by global manufacturing giants in the automobile industry.”
After 2 Month, EC Finally Speaks On Supreme Court Verdict On 2020 Election Petition
The Electoral Commission (EC) has finally spoken up on the verdict of the Supreme Court concerning the 2020 election petition.
The seven-member Supreme Court panel ruled unanimously that while the petitioner (John Dramani Mahama) had legitimate concerns about the results he could not adduce evidence to validate the claims he was making against the EC.
Speaking on Asaase FM, Bossman Asare, deputy chairman of the EC said the court vindicated the work of the commission with their ruling.
“We were relieved right after the election because we know we did the right thing. The [Supreme] Court gave us an international vindication, so for us life is just normal; we have a lot of things, review of the election et cetera that we must engage in,” he said.
“As a Commission, we are doing what we have to do. There are a lot of administrative measures that must be put in place so that in future we’ll continue to be ahead of the game. I think for us we didn’t see the court case as a challenge… we know it’s part of the work and life must go on,” he said.

Read the full statement below:
PRESS STATEMENT BY THE NATIONAL DEMOCRATIC CONGRESS ON THE MURDER OF YOUNG ISHMAEL MENSAH ABDALLAH AT KASOA.
It is with extreme shock and disbelief that the National Democratic Congress received news of the gruesome murder of a ten-year-old boy called Ishmael Mensah Abdallah at Kasoa in the Central Region by his own teenaged acquaintances for ritual purposes.
The Leadership, as well as the entire rank and file of the NDC, join the family and friends and, indeed, the entire nation, in mourning the loss of this young and promising boy much beloved by his family and community.
It is the expectation of the National Democratic Congress that the appropriate authorities will ensure that the bereaved family are comforted by the swiftness of the application of the law to punish the perpetrators and all who may be behind this dastardly murder.
The NDC has taken due notice of the fact that there appears to be a fashionable craze toward the acquisition of quick wealth by many of our countrymen and women and the youth in particular, without the attendant hard, morally sound and lawful means of obtaining the same.
We deem this development as a dangerous trend that has to be condemned and discouraged by all and sundry.
It is a development that the NDC is unquestionably opposed to, or else we risk bequeathing to the youth, a practice and a lifestyle that cannot build this nation.
We further wish to draw the attention of the Akufo-Addo government to the plethora of crimes whose resolution has dragged on interminably, thus, encouraging the perpetuation of the culture of impunity.
We encourage the youth to look out for honest, hardworking, and accomplished persons as their role models.
The wealth that has been improperly obtained, should never be an attraction for the upcoming youth of this great nation.
In this regard, we call on the Akufo-Addo government to speed up investigations and crank the wheels of justice so that the country can rid itself of the odious reminder of this unfortunate event.
May the soul of young Ishmael Mensah Abdallah rest in peace.
