How Three (3) KNUST Students Died In The Matter Of 24 Hours

KNUST’s Unity and University halls, also known as Katanga and Continental halls, tend to be the most powerful halls in the Kumasi-based university.

According to AtinkaNews.net, there was a significant police presence on the forecourt of Conti hall on Friday night after a clash between some students from Conti and Katanga halls.

The Ayiduase Police Unit were forced to storm the university campus to calm down tempers and see to it that peace and unity prevails among the two faction of students.

According to the school’s famous news site, knustconnect.com, the cause of the fracas between the two male halls is that the two have been fighting about who remains the top hall on campus.

Conti and Katanga halls have a long history of rivalry, which has become a notorious phenomenon between the two male halls.

The video of the heinous incident involving the male students flaunting their egos has gone viral on social media.

Public Relations Officer for the Ghana Education Service, Cassandra Twum Ampofo has rendered an unqualified apology to parents and stakeholders for the Institution’s inability to communicate on time changes made in the reopening dates of form 3 Senior High School students.

“We at the GES want to render an unqualified apology to the parents and students, our key stakeholder the teachers and the general public for communicating to them late. We acknowledge the shortfall on our part and we are deeply sorry and…going forward, this won’t happen again,” she stated.

“We admit that we have no justification to have communicated the decision to them late…whatever decision it was, whatever reason whether good or bad should have been told to the parents…that is unfortunate and that is why we are apologizing,” she said, in an interview with JoyNews’ Evans Mensah.

KNUSTconnect.Com has gathered from reliable sources confirms that, former KNUST Vice-Chancellor is Dr. Evans-Anfom dead.

He was the first to introduce “Matriculation” into the university entry ceremonies at Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST).

Dr Evans-Anfom was a former vice-chancellor of the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST) from 1967 to 19 73 and chaired many national committees and boards.

He was credited with inventing university matriculation events, which he implemented during his tenure at KNUST.

The celebrated surgeon, who was born on October 7, 1919, was the father of four children.

Evans-Anfom, FGA, OSG was KNUST’s second vice-chancellor from 1967 to 1973.

  • 1968: Elected president of the Ghana Medical Association
  • 1971: Elected Fellow of the Ghana Academy of Arts and Sciences

Nalerigu Nursing Training Students Heavily Scammed By BTF Flash Investment

Information reaching the News Desk of GhanaCNN indicates that some students at the Nareligu Nursing Training College in the Northern part of Ghana have been heavily scammed by a said Ponzi scheme.

Nalerigu is the largest town in the East Mamprusi Municipal Assembly in the North East Region of Ghana and well known for its nursing training college.

The source further shared that students numbering over 100 were scammed after they joined the new Ponzi scheme that goes by the name BTF Flash Investment.

A level 100 student at the college who broke the news to our correspondent, Abdul Salifu Salam further disclosed that some students have even fallen sick as a result of the scam since they used their money meant for upkeep in the said online ponzi.

It could be recalled that the Economic and Organized Crime Unit were in the news after they released a press statement warning Ghanaians to desist from joining such schemes.
