We Will Teach You A Lesson: Asiedu Nkatia Warns Koku Anyidoho As He Has Being Called Before The NDC Disciplinary Committee

Johnson Asiedu Nketia, General Secretary of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), has reported that the party’s former Deputy General Secretary, Koku Anyidoho, is currently answering questions before the main opposition party’s disciplinary committee.

He claimed that the committee would inform the party leadership on the next course of action to be taken against Mr Anyidoho when the time comes.

Mr Nketia said this in an interview with TV3’s Komla Adom on the Midday news on Wednesday, March 24, following the suspension of former NDC Central Regional Chair Allotey Jacobs and another member Stephen Atubiga.

“[Koku Anyidoho] is currently being investigated by the disciplinary committee. We have not received a report from the committee. They have a time limit in which they must complete their job.

“Because the time has not yet elapsed, we have no excuse to return to them. We expect them to do a good job and then advise the party leadership about how to proceed.”

Mr Anyidoho was suspended by the NDC’s Functional Executive Committee (FEC).

The petitions from Oti Region’s Communications Officer, Mobarak Abdul-Karim, and Bono Region’s Deputy Communications Officer, Eric Adjei, were referred to the Disciplinary Committee for further action, according to his suspension letter.

“You are therefore advised by this letter, and notice is hereby issued, that your membership in the NDC has been suspended pending the hearing and final resolution of the petitions against your conduct,” Mr Asiedu Nketia, who was defeated by Mr Anyidoho at the NDC’s last national executive congress, reported in the letter dated Monday, February 8, 2021.

Koku Anyidoho has taken to Twitter after losing the 2020 elections to make remarks that have not gone down well with several members of the party.

Are You Aware Of The Ritual Killings In Ghana: You Have Made Ghana Hard – NDC Blast Akufo Addo In A Press Statement

In a statement, the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC) expressed condolences to the family of the ten-year-old boy who was killed by two teenagers at Kasoa for “money ritual purposes.”

The statement urged President Akufo-Addo to expedite investigations into unsolved crimes committed in the country since he assumed power.

Read the full statement below:

PRESS STATEMENT BY THE NATIONAL DEMOCRATIC CONGRESS ON THE MURDER OF YOUNG ISHMAEL MENSAH ABDALLAH AT KASOA.

It is with extreme shock and disbelief that the National Democratic Congress received news of the gruesome murder of a ten-year-old boy called Ishmael Mensah Abdallah at Kasoa in the Central Region by his own teenaged acquaintances for ritual purposes.

The Leadership, as well as the entire rank and file of the NDC, join the family and friends and, indeed, the entire nation, in mourning the loss of this young and promising boy much beloved by his family and community.

It is the expectation of the National Democratic Congress that the appropriate authorities will ensure that the bereaved family are comforted by the swiftness of the application of the law to punish the perpetrators and all who may be behind this dastardly murder.

The NDC has taken due notice of the fact that there appears to be a fashionable craze toward the acquisition of quick wealth by many of our countrymen and women and the youth in particular, without the attendant hard, morally sound and lawful means of obtaining the same.

We deem this development as a dangerous trend that has to be condemned and discouraged by all and sundry.

It is a development that the NDC is unquestionably opposed to, or else we risk bequeathing to the youth, a practice and a lifestyle that cannot build this nation.

We further wish to draw the attention of the Akufo-Addo government to the plethora of crimes whose resolution has dragged on interminably, thus, encouraging the perpetuation of the culture of impunity.

We encourage the youth to look out for honest, hardworking, and accomplished persons as their role models.

The wealth that has been improperly obtained, should never be an attraction for the upcoming youth of this great nation.

In this regard, we call on the Akufo-Addo government to speed up investigations and crank the wheels of justice so that the country can rid itself of the odious reminder of this unfortunate event.

May the soul of young Ishmael Mensah Abdallah rest in peace.
