Car Sales March 2021: Toyota Sells 15,001 Cars Last Month; Sees 7% MoM Growth

Toyota Kirloskar Motor has released its monthly sales figures for March 2021, and the company sold 15,001 units last month. Toyota saw a nearly 7% increase in Month-on-Month (MoM) sales compared to February 2021, when the company’s total domestic sales stood at 14,075 units.

At the same time, the Japanese automaker saw a year-on-year increase of 114%, with 7,023 units sold in March 2020. However, keep in mind that the Government of India declared a nationwide lockdown in March 2020 to combat the coronavirus pandemic. As a result, the sharp increase in sales is an outlier.

“We have been able to sustain the growth momentum as we closed the last quarter registering a 73% increase in domestic sales, when compared to the sales in the corresponding period last year,” said Naveen Soni, Sr. Vice President at Toyota Kirloskar Motor, commenting on the month’s performance (Jan- Mar 2020). In fact, last month saw the highest domestic sales in March since 2013, allowing us to grow by 114% over wholesales compared to March 2020. Our sales performance in the last quarter outperformed the festive season of the third quarter (Oct-Dec 2021), with a 42 percent increase.

Toyota India reports that demand for personal mobility continues to rise, with the company seeing an increase in both inquiries and customer orders. The carmaker believes that the popularity of the brand, as well as demand for the Innova Crysta facelift and the Toyota Fortuner facelift, which includes the new Legender variant, are driving this growth.

You Should Avoid These 5 Common Phone Charging Mistakes

You Should Avoid These 5 Common Phone Charging Mistakes

If you want your phone battery to last longer, you must avoid these charging mistakes at all costs.

Many phone users tend to complain that their device’s batteries discharge quickly. They also typically blame the product manufacturer for this issue; however, the manufacturer isn’t always at fault.

Waiting for the Battery to reach low levels before charging

Avoid waiting for your battery to reach a critically low level before charging. The effect of this on your phone battery is not immediate, but over time it begins to manifest and it eventually stresses out your phone battery (yes, batteries get stressed too) and shortens the battery life.

Keeping your phone case on while charging

Your phone typically emits heat when charging. To avoid exposing your device to ambient temperatures, it’s advisable to remove the phone case while charging your phone so that the heat emitted from your phone while charging can escape. This way you can prevent your device from becoming hotter and potentially overheating when charging.

Charging your phone in the wrong places

You should mind where you charge your phone, because not doing so can negatively affect your battery capacity. Phones have a temperature range they can function normally and charging your phone in a hot area can raise the temperature and stress the battery out.

Charging your phone overnight

The least you’ll sleep throughout the night is most likely going to be between 5 to 8 hours, your smartphone battery typically only needs 2 to 3 hours to fully charge. Charging your phone overnight, constantly stresses your phone battery each night.

Plugging whatever charger fits

This especially applies to smartphones. Most smartphones use a micro USB for its chargers and for this reasons most people tend to switch and swap chargers since it fits into and works on their phones. However, this is not appropriate and in the long run it can negatively affect your phone battery.
