Vivo Y12s (2021) With Snapdragon 439 SoC, Dual Rear Cameras Launched: Price, Specifications

Vivo Y12s (2021) has been launched as an upgrade to last year’s Vivo Y12s. The new Vivo phone has the same waterdrop-style display notch and dual rear cameras that the Chinese manufacturer offered on its 2020 version.

It also carries the 20:9 display and a 5,000mAh battery – both identical to the previous-generation Vivo Y12s. However, as a major distinction over the last year’s model, the Vivo Y12s (2021) comes with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 439 SoC. The original Vivo Y12s had a MediaTek Helio P35 SoC, though its India variant came with the same Snapdragon 439 chip.

Vivo Y12s (2021) price

Vivo Y12s price has been set at VND 3,290,000 (roughly Rs. 10,500) for the single 3GB RAM + 32GB storage variant. The phone is currently available for purchase in Vietnam through e-commerce site FPTShop in Ice Blue and Mysterious Black colours. However, details about its availability in other markets are yet to be revealed.

The original Vivo Y12s was unveiled globally in November. It debuted in India in January with the Snapdragon 439 SoC at a price of Rs. 9,990 for the 3GB + 32GB storage option.

Vivo Y12s (2021) specifications

In terms of specifications, the dual-SIM (Nano) Vivo Y12s (2021) runs on Android 11 with Funtouch OS 11 on top and features a 6.51-inch HD+ (720×1,600 pixels) IPS display with a 20:9 aspect ratio. The phone is powered by an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 439 SoC, along with 3GB of RAM. There is a dual rear camera setup on board that houses a 13-megapixel primary sensor with an f/2.2 lens and a 2-megapixel depth sensor with an f/2.4 lens. It also includes an 8-megapixel selfie camera sensor, with an f/1.8 lens.

The Vivo Y12s (2021) has 32GB of onboard storage that is expandable via microSD card through a dedicated slot. Connectivity options include 4G LTE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth v4.2, GPS/ A-GPS, FM radio, Micro-USB, and a 3.5mm headphone jack. Sensors on board include an accelerometer, ambient light, magnetometer, and a proximity sensor. There is also a side-mounted fingerprint sensor.

Mr Kweku Baako brought the 25 million cedis suit against the MP following some allegations the MP levelled against him in the aftermath of the Anas expose’ on corruption in Ghana football.

He Doesn’t Take Bribe: I Have No Evidence Against Kweku Baak– Kennedy Agyapong

Maverick politician, Kennedy Agyapong has admitted that he has no evidence on claims that Editor-In-Chief of the New Crusading Guide Abdul Malik Kweku Baako received bribes.

Under cross-examination, the Assin Central lawmaker was confronted with claims made on the 24th day of July 2018 on Oman FM, to the effect that the veteran journalist was sitting there taking envelopes, writing and publishing stories after taking those envelopes.

But during cross examination he was quoted to have said “Yes my lady but if the plaintiff would be sincere to himself, even where they sit to have meetings at Coffee Shop, it is called Coffee Shop Mafia. Again I want to say that I said whatever I said because of the insult he rained on me and he broke the trust”

Lawyer for the plaintiff also suggested to the defendant that he has no proof and has also not brought the same before the court to confirm that the plaintiff took envelope and publish stories.

In his response he said “He is saying I have no proof. I have told the court that I said whatever I said because of what he said and I want the definition of the Coffee Mafia and what they do there. My lady it is unfortunate that most Ghanaians are coward and are afraid to come forward to collaborate what I have said”

Suit

Kweku Baako has sued the loudmouth lawmaker at the Accra High Court, asking the court to compel the controversial lawmaker to vomit GH¢25 million for defaming him.

The ace journalist is accusing the loudmouthed Kennedy Agyapong of using his own media platform Net 2 TV and Oman FM as well Adom TV and numerous other platforms to spew statements that Mr Baako considers injurious to his hard-won reputation.

Fined

An Accra High Court presided over by Justice Afia Serwaa Asare Botwe last year ruled that the Member of Parliament (MP) for Assin Central Kennedy Agyapong indeed defamed the Editor-In-Chief of the New Crusading Guide Newspaper Abdul Malik Kweku Baako.

He was given up to 30 days to retract and apologise three times on the platforms he used to defame the veteran journalist fined GHS100, 000 in damages plus cost of GHS30, 000

Lawyer for Kennedy Agyapong, Ralph Agyapong however indicated that the Member of Parliament(MP) for Assin Central will appeal the judgment by the Accra High Court despite making part payment of he court fine.

  • Auditor-General Chases Former Nhyiaeso MP For ‘Missing’ GH₵500k

A former Member of Parliament (MP) for the Nhyiaeso Constituency, Kennedy Kankam, has been ordered by the Auditor-General to recover GH₵ 500,000 that he oversaw disbursed to individuals as loans.

The Auditor-General’s report indicated that the monies, which amounted to the MP’s share of the District Assembly’s common fund, have not been paid since they were given to some 430 people in 2019.

Between the end of 2019 and the third quarter of 2020, the Kumasi Metropolitan Assembly (KMA) received GH₵ 4,821,929.80, of which Kankam allegedly requested GH₵ 500, 000.
