List Of Popular Ghanaian Pastors Who 'Hate' President Akufo Addo

Several pastors have expressed displeasure towards the Akufo-Addo-lead NPP government; this is not new in the political landscape in the history of Ghana.

We have the likes of Rev. Owusu Bempah criticizing John Mahama when he was in power. Let us take a look at some of the popular pastors who have spoken against this government.

Bishop Agyina-Asare is the founder of the Perez Chapel International, a Charismatic ministry in Ghana.

He is also the founder of Precious TV and the Chancellor of the Perez University College all in Ghana.

Bishop Agyina-Asare has broken the silence of many religious leaders in Ghana with regard to wrongdoings by politicians.

Bishop said the religious leaders who are supposed to use their platforms to talk about peace have all kept quiet and are watching the politicians take over the country.

In his sermon titled ‘Get Rid of Envy’, he stated, “So our clergymen. Our clergy who should be saying it on the rooftop because many politicians go to our churches or mosques. But the clergy, we have become dumb dogs. We are acting as if we don’t see what is happening”.

He also went on and said pastors who gather the courage to come up and speak are tagged ‘talkatives.’

“And if you are a pastor and you are talking, they say you are talking too much. Instead of teaching our electorate who are made up of our Church members and people who go to the Mosque, to hold our government accountable, we are competing in our visions about who will win and who will die.”

Bishop Agyina-Asare previously also shared a sad story about a retired older man who served the Defence Ministry for almost 30 years and is now denied permission to register due to the fact that they think he is a Togolese.

Bishop Agyina-Asare has now shown to the Ghanaian community that he is not a hypocrite and that he will speak the truth and has also shown how he is disappointed in the current Akufo-Addo led NPP government.

Rev. Emmanuel Badu Kobi is a pastor and a businessman. He is the Founder and leader of the Glorious Wave Church International. He is also the President of Kingdom Bible College and the author of many books. Prophet Badu Kobi in 2018 launched an attack on President Akufo-Addo after he planned on taking tax from churches.

According to him, it was senseless for the government to even think of taxing churches. In an online video that was circulating, Badu Kobi showed his great displeasure at the decision and went on further to say it was against the campaign promises of Akufo-Addo concerning taxes when he was in opposition.

“The things I will prove to them and eventually will speak throughout the whole of Ghana. They should come and tell us where this nonsense entered their head,” these were some of the words he said in the video. He later threatened to expose the NPP of their illegal ways they used to get money to run their 2016 campaign.

Prophet Nigel Gaisie is the Leader and Founder of the Prophetic Hill Chapel. The NPP members have branded Prophet Nigel as the pastor for the NDC, and as such, everything he says is regarded as a deception. During his 31st December Watchnight, he prophesied that, “2020 election the Lord said we should be spiritual and vigilant.

There is an agenda to massively rig the election and push the election to a runoff by the ruling party.” This drew the attention of many Ghanaians who said the Prophet said that due to the fact that he does not like the Akufo-Addo government. The Prophet has ever since been attacked by the NPP, including the Member of Parliament for Assin Central, Hon. Kennedy Agyapong.

Captain Smart Calls President Akufo Addo’s Answers To Sefa Kayi ‘Useless’

Godsbrain Captain Smart, host of Onua TV’s morning show has jumped to the defense of fellow journalist, Kwami Sefa Kayi following his interview with President Akufo-Addo.

During the interview, Sefa Kayi sought to know the president’s reaction to the paramount Chief of the Aflao Traditional Area, Torgbui Adzonugaga Amenya Fiti who had given the government an ultimatum to complete and open the E-block in his area for use.

The President, however, asked the chief to open the E-block himself if he was going to give an ultimatum.

This has sparked controversy with some wondering how Kwami Sefa Kayi allowed President Akufo-Addo to pass such comment on his show.

Reacting to it, Captain Smart said Sefa Kayi asked the right questions and cannot be blamed for the president’s responses.

According to him, there are no useless questions but always stupid answers.

“Kwami asked the right question, it’s the president who did not understand the question. He was careful asking that question. A white man taught us that there is no useless question but there is always a stupid answer. I’m not insulting the president, I’m only quoting what I was taught,” he said.

Okudzeto Ablakwa Brilliantly Schools President Akufo Addo After Disrespecting Chief Of Aflao

Member of Parliament (MP) for North Tongu Constituency in the Volta Region on the ticket of the largest opposition, National Democratic Congress (NDC), Honourable Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa has brilliantly schooled President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo.

It could be recalled that in a video that has since gone viral, President Akufo Addo was seen in the studios of Peace FM responding to a complaint that was sent to the host Kwame Sefa Kayi in a manner that calls for public ridicule.

According to Honourable Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa, the president’s comment is very disrespectful and should be condemned.

He wrote on his Facebook page as gathered by GhanaCNN.com:

“Our revered chiefs and custodians of our proud traditions deserve utmost respect at all times regardless of which part of the country they exercise their authority.

The venerable Torgbui Adzongaga Amenya Fiti V and the people of Aflao deserve an immediate retraction and apology from President Akufo-Addo.

No chief anywhere in Ghana should be spoken to with such derision, disrespect, and condescension.
Torgbui Fiti V rather deserves commendation for his courage in speaking out against the reckless wasteful culture of abandoning inherited projects.

We are one people united in our collective successes and challenges; intemperate language from the President who ordinarily should be strengthening national cohesion with his pronouncements ought to be condemned by all well meaning Ghanaians.”

Stop Misbehaving Like A Serial Caller – Nana Akomea Boldly Warns John Mahama

Managing Director of State Transport Corporation, Nana Akomea has told former president John Dramani Mahama to leave the propaganda in the hands of the NDC serial callers.

Nana Akomea was reacting to Mr. Mahama’s claims that the Electoral Commission were forced by the military to declare the results of the 2020 polls.

Mahama had also claimed that there was massive ballot stuffing in favour of the NPP during the elections. He made this known on Global FM during his thank-you tour.

Reacting to it on Peace FM’s morning show, Nana Akomea said these unfounded allegations are not befitting of a former president and must be done by serial callers.

“. . if you say soldiers forced Electoral Commission to declare results in favour of NPP without presenting evidence or you say the Electoral Commission printed 1 million ballots without substantiating it, you have to leave this for serial callers . . . For a whole former President to be saying these things is worrying. And you’ve accused the Electoral Commission of printing 1 million ballot papers, if you do that, then you’re inciting your followers against the Electoral Commission without any basis. That’s how unfair it is,” he said on Peace FM’s ”Kokrokoo”.
