Honorable Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa, Minority Spokesperson on Foreign Affairs and Member of Parliament for North Tongu Constituency in the Volta Region, has commended President Nana Addo Dankwa Akuffo-Addo for appointing COP Dr. George Akuffo Dampare as the new acting Inspector-General of Police (IGP).

According to Hon. Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa, the position of Inspector General of Police (IGP) is very sensitive and delicate, and he would like to express his particular satisfaction with the appointment of the noble young police officer who is more than qualified for the position.

“I would like to commend President Nana Addo Dankwa Akuffo-Addo for taking the bold step of appointing COP Dr. George Akuffo Dampare as acting Inspector General of Police after James Oppong Boanuh retired. This time, the president is correct. The noble young police officer is simply qualified for the position “Hon. Okudzeto Ablakwa informed President Nana Addo Dankwa.

COP Dr. George Akuffo Dampare, an educator with a PhD, two master’s degrees in business administration, and a Chartered Accountant at the age of 25, was the Director-General in charge of Administration of the Ghana Police Service until his current appointment.

At the age of 20, he joined the Ghana Police Service as a young Constable. He is the Fourth Republic’s youngest acting Inspector-General of Police, and the eighth youngest since independence. He has won the hearts of Ghanaians as his appointment has become a hot topic.

His service in various departments and levels of the police force has been outstanding.

Takoradi Again! Police Arrest 1 Woman And 2 Others For Faking A Kidnap With Ransom Of GH₵ 5,000.00

According to a report gathered from the Ghana Police Service (GPS), three persons have been arrested by the police division after planning a fake kidnapping incident.

The Ghana Police in their Facebook report shared as gathered by GhanaCNN.com that, the Takoradi Divisional Police Command has arrested three suspects, Joana Krah, aged 29; Susana Awortwe, aged 27 and Francis Eshun, aged 27 for allegedly faking a kidnap and demanding a ransom of Five-Thousand Ghana Cedis (GH₵ 5,000.00).

It could be recalled that a Takoradi woman dominated the media space for months recently after he came up with her controversial pregnancy and kidnapping case.

Josephine Panyin Mensah Simons who was at the center of the brouhaha was later exposed for faking the said kidnap.

Joana Krah, aged 29; Susana Awortwe, aged 27 and Francis Eshun, aged 27 also comes in with another fake kidnap as they make numerous attempts to receive a ransom of GH₵ 5,000.00.

The Ghana Police Service (GPS) has won the hearts of many Ghanaians again after arresting a suspect in a video that has since gone viral.

In the video, a young guy was caught brandishing a gun and ended the video with a comment that says ”Kill Them All”.

GhanaCNN.com gathered the video from the official Facebook page of the Ghana Police Service (GPS) which reads:

“As indicated a short while ago, below is the widely circulated video in which the dangerous armed robbery and murder Suspect, Godstrong Tettey (who has been arrested) was brandishing a pistol.

He was arrested at Adeiso and items retrieved from him include two Pump action guns, one locally manufactured pistol, and one new foreign-manufactured pistol.”

Ghana Police Service Mourn Two Officers Who Perished In A Fatal Accident

The Ghana Police Service (GPS) sadly mourns two of its police officers who were serving mother Ghana but met their untimely death in a gory road accident.

In a Facebook post, the Ghana Police Service announced that two of its officers were involved in a fatal accident on October 21, 2021 as gathered by GhanaCNN.com

The statement from the police service further stated that it was a black Thursday for them since the officers who passed on were well-trained officers in the service of policing.

The post reads:
