We Won’t Call Off Strike Action Despite Court Order – UTAG

The University Teachers Association of Ghana (UTAG) says its members will not return to work despite an injunction sought by the National Labour Commission against their industrial action.

In a statement released by the national body of the Association on August 8, 2021, National Secretary Dr K. K. Abavare indicated that UTAG has received resolutions from all 13 member public institutions mandating the continuation of the strike action.

“Following the stalling of negotiations with the government on our Conditions of Service (CoS), which culminated in our declaration of a nationwide withdrawal of teaching and related activities among member public universities, all local branch executives were tasked by the National Executive Committee (NEC) to convene an emergency meeting to solicit the views of members on the way forward.”

“On behalf of the NEC, National would like to forward to you resolutions received from the thirteen (13) member public universities,” parts of the statement read.

On Friday 6th August, the National Labour Commission secured an injunction against the strike in an Accra High Court seeking to compel the lecturers to return to work while negotiations continued.

The UTAG has been on strike since Monday, August 2 and is demanding restoration of a 2012 Single Spine Salary Structure agreement that would have seen entry-level lecturers earn the cedi equivalent of $2,084 monthly.

The government had said it was confident the concerns of the Association will be resolved.

However, negotiations broke down when both sides showed no commitment to back down on their demands.

UTAG in reaction to the injunction stated that the decision to continue the withdrawal of teaching and related activities is to ensure the government puts some enhanced and progressive proposals on the table.

“The call is also for us to remain focused, united, and resolute in our quest to ensure that government initiates and implements appropriate measures to improve our CoS,” they added.

Akufo Addo’s Free SHS Student Beaten Mercilessly By Her Family Members For Practicing Lesbianism – Video

An alleged teenage lesbian was brutalized by her father and other family members for ‘practicing lesbianism,’ according to a video that has gone viral on the internet.

The video begins with the lady kissing and lying in bed with her lesbian lover.

The film then cuts to scenes of the woman being beaten by her family members after they were allegedly informed of her sexuality. Her father may be seen strangling her and questioning why she is “practicing lesbianism” in Igbo.

Other members of her family are also seen whipping her.

The video has sparked a lot of discussion on social media, with some people claiming that disciplining her in this way will not take away her sexuality, but will only harden her heart, and she may later engage in even worse behavior than what they initially heard.

I Don’t Know The Father Of My Unborn Baby – Pregnant Student Cries Out

According to the student, she slept with three men during the time she was taking seed, but she doesn’t consider any of her fuck lads to be possible spouses since they don’t fit her requirements.

She sought assistance from Joro Olumofin, a relationship blogger.

Her post reads in part:

“I’m currently pregnant but I saw my pe.riod last week and doctor said I’ve been pregnant for almost two months now. My issue now is that I don’t know the father.

I don’t know what is happening but I’m not ready to be a mother. I don’t know what is happening. I suspect three guys and all are not the type I want for a father. One has money but he is not loyal at all.”

Man Ends One Day Marriage After Discovering His Wife Having An Affair With Her Spiritual Father

After learning that he was a selected prophet, a guy known as Weezy Nyangu ended his one-day marriage with his new wife, Martha Pondani (a nurse by profession), with immediate effect.

On October 2, 2021, the new couple married. However, complications began during their honeymoon. Mr Weezy claimed that when his new wife was bathing, he decided to look through her phone, and what he found nearly brought him to tears.

He found out that his new wife was having an affair with Bentry, the Revival Crusade prophet…

The new groom was not pleased with this. His wife was surprised to find her husband melancholy and calm after she completed having a bath.

She had hoped for a kiss and some new style from her husband, but alas, the man’s colors changed in a matter of minutes, and he got very upset.

Mr. Weezy called his friends and relatives to inform them of the calamity he had discovered. Within 24 hours, a fresh marriage had come to an end.
