This Is What John Mahama Has To Say On The Anti-Gay Bill

Former President John Dramani Mahama has urged chiefs and traditional leaders to be brave and call out the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP) on the numerous projects that have been abandoned.

He insists that the Akufo-Addo government is not paying the contractors, causing the projects to go unfinished.

“If you’re going to say it, point to them because it’s this government that’s left projects unfinished all over the place. It is because of this government that we have seen such many abandoned projects because they do not pay the contractors,” Mr. Mahama told the chiefs.

On Wednesday, September 8, 2021, he spoke at the Bono Regional House of Chiefs as part of his thank-you tour of the region.

The NPP government has been accused of failing to complete or use projects initiated by the Mahama administration, which they have denied.

“If, by God’s grace, the NDC comes to power in 2025, we will complete all projects they have begun because the money involved does not come from Nana Akufo-pocket, Addo’s but from ours.”

The President of the Bono Regional House of Chiefs, Osagyefo Oseadeeyo Dr. Agyemang Badu, also referred to educational, health, and housing projects such as the Saglemi housing projects, which he insists if completed, could ease the accommodation challenges of the Ghanaian workers, including soldiers, judges, and head porters.

Osagyefo Oseadeeyo Dr. Agyemang Badu, who doubles as the Paramount Chief of the Dormaa Traditional Area, said the political parties would have to assure Ghanaians that when they get the chance to govern the country, they would ensure such completed and uncompleted facilities would be put to good use to the benefit of the citizens.
