What A Shame! Akufo Addo Fails To Wish Ghanaian Teachers On World Teachers' Day

What A Shame! Akufo Addo Fails To Wish Ghanaian Teachers On World Teachers’ Day

GhanaCNN.com writes: Teachers have three loves: love of learning, love of learners, and the love of bringing the first two loves together.

It is the supreme art of the teacher to awaken joy in creative expression and knowledge. For a country to thrive, it demands a creative society that can solve problems.

The human base resource is the backbone of every growing economy in the 21st-century world of ours and it remains the work of the teacher in developing the human-based resource from infancy.

Teaching is conceptual and intellectual, abstract and concrete, creative, and sequential. It’s about people but framed through ideas. It’s about content, hearts, minds, the past, the future–whatever we can imagine, teaching and learning are both causes and effects.

We are often deceived by the words that say ”children are the future of this country”

This remains a lie since the ordinary Ghanaian teacher who trains these children are neglected, insulted, and cheated in addition. How can this nation thrive?

Teachers who completed the various colleges of education as far back as 2016 have still not been promoted as I write. In which profession does promotion take such long and even if paid, paid without arrears. It is only in the teaching profession!

Teachers promotion are bought, teachers upgrading are bought, and this makes even furthering one’s level of education as a professional teacher becomes very discouraging since further studies like MBA and MPhil at the basic level is not upgraded with pay. A teacher affects eternity: he can never tell where his influence stops so his or her needs must be met.

as today, October 5 marks the World Teachers’ Day celebration across the globe and President of Ghana; His Excellency President Akufo Addo fails to congratulate them as he enjoys his ‘luxurious’ tour, we at GhanaCNN.com writes.

His insults were just not enough!

We should all remember that ‘All Professions Can Boast But The Teacher Taught Them All”

In thia era of the COVID-19 pandemic where each country’s economy has declined to make the living conditions of the citizens extremely cumbersome, it would be extremely difficult to have your money back should you lose it.

Many people are in difficult times making their lives unbearable. Therefore, about 98% of people who may find money on the streets will embezzle it rather than return it to the rightful owners.

However, the case of Madina Adutwumwaa Asare, also known as Teacher Ewuraama, who is committed to making sure that children love school is different.

Teacher Ewuraama of Diamond Academy in Atimatim Maase of Old Tafo Municipal in the Ashanti Region has done what the Lord expects everyone to do. The scriptures tell all Christians not to possesse what does not belong to them.

Teacher Ewuraama in a video available to GhanaCNN via her Charity works found a bag (Ghana must go) containing $1000 in an envelope but returned it to the rightful owner.

Accordingly, she will not spend money or own something that does not belongs to her.

Madina Adutwumwaa Asare is known for her creative way of welcoming her pupils to school every morning. She been impacting the lives of her pupils in her own special way.

Last year, she raised over GH¢4500 to pay the fees for the children because their parents lost their jobs to the COVID-19 pandemic.

JUST IN: Teachers of Colleges of Education Declare Indefinite Strike

The Colleges of Education Teachers’ Association of Ghana (CETAG) has declared an indefinite nationwide strike over service conditions.

The decision was arrived at after an emergency meeting by the CETAG National Council over the failure of the government to implement the conditions of service agreed upon between 2017 and 2020.

In effect, all 46 public colleges of education are to embark on the strike beginning tomorrow, Thursday, January 6, 2022.

CETAG says, it signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on September 24, 2021, after reaching agreements on conditions of service for members of the association.

“The association’s National Council has resolved to follow through with its decision to withdraw teaching, one of its main duties as stipulated in the harmonized conditions for Colleges of Education”, a statement from CETAG noted.

It added that “the National Council would like to use this opportunity to entreat all CETAG members to comply with this directive until further notice.”

Akufo Addo’s Free SHS Students Caught Learning How To KISS and Romance

In a viral video, two senior high school students believed to be beneficiaries of President Akufo Addo’s Free Senior High School can be seen learning how to kiss.

The students in the short video intercepted by GhanaCNN.com are said to be a couple sitting on a bench facing each other.

It appears as if they had everything planned out ahead of time.

Things went wrong, however, when the girl began kissing on the wrong note.

GhanaCNN.com brings you the video below:
