Apple Supplier Foxconn, Joins The Electric Car Bandwagon

Foxconn (Apple supplier), this week announced plans for the production of electric cars for automobile brands under a similar contract model.

iPhone-Maker Foxconn Unveils Three Electric Vehicles With Ford Names

According to Young Liu, the Chairman of the Foxconn Technology Group, the brand that manufactures smartphones for Apple Inc. and other global brands, the company will produce cars and buses for brands in China, North America, Europe and other markets, with the clients having the chance to modify their appearance and features for their markets.

The Foxconn brand also known as Hon Hai Precision Industry Company now joins a crowded global electric car market that almost every automaker that is worth its salt is into, with dozens of very ambitious startups.

According to the company, the flagship Model E Sedan, which was developed by Italian design house, Pininfarina will be launched in the year 2023, with the Model E having to seat five and have a range of 750 kilometers (470 miles) on one charge.

The Foxconn henchman further mentioned renowned automakers Fisker Inc. and Taiwan’s Yulong Group as clients, in what could be described as a major infusion.

Taiwan News, a popular newspaper in the country had last week written that there are other Foxconn potential customers and Stellantic, an automaker formed by the merger of FIAT Chrysler and Peugeot is one of them but Young Liu fell short of confirming that.

Its first electric bus, the Model T, will have a range of less than 400 kilometers (250 miles) on one charge, Foxconn said.

The electric car use is fast becoming a global bandwagon as according to International Energy Agency. , out of all cars sold in 2020, 4.6% were plug-in electric, and by the end of that year there were more than 10 million plug-in electric cars on the world’s roads.

Even with the rapid growth, by the end of 2020, only about 1% of cars on the world’s roads were fully electric and plug-in hybrid cars with many countries having to establish government incentives for plug-in electric vehicles, tax credits, subsidies, and other non-monetary incentives while several countries have legislated to phase-out sales of fossil fuel cars, to reduce air pollution and limit climate change.

An evidence of the global acceptance of electric cars was when the Tesla Model 3 was the world’s all-time best-selling electric car in early 2020 and in June 2021, became the first electric car to surpass 1 million global sales.

5 Proven Tips To Promote Your YouTube Channel

10 Proven Tips To Promote Your YouTube Channel

There’s no better time to start thinking about how to promote your YouTube channel than right now.

But why “right now”?

For starters, YouTube is the second most popular website on the internet, and in an age when we spend up to six hours per day watching videos, the writing is on the wall.

If you want to stand out on YouTube, you need to take advantage of as many promotional tactics as possible.

Below we’ll go into detail on each of these tactics for promoting your YouTube channel and maximizing your viewership. Whether you’re just getting started or want to see your numbers tick further upward, these tips are all fair game.

Titles are make-or-break when it comes to your video’s performance. Ask yourself: are you presenting your content as “must-see” or “meh?”

Lists and question-based YouTube titles can help you score more viewers

The key to crafting killer titles is grabbing your audience’s attention without resorting to clickbait headlines. People crave content that’s entertaining, and they likewise want to know what your video is about from the word “go.”

For example, you can take a page out of the playbooks of YouTube giants like BuzzFeed and WhatCulture. Such videos often rely on listicles, question-based titles or hyperbole (“insane,” “…of all time”) to rack up the views.

With any type of content you produce, you want to make sure it’s aligned with what your audience wants. Whether you’re writing a blog post or creating a video, start by getting to know your audience and what type of content they want to see from you.

If you’re just starting to promote your YouTube channel, take a look at your competitors or other video creators in your industry. Look at which of their videos get the most views and engagement. This will give you an idea of what topics your audience wants to learn about and what style of videos they prefer.

Another solution is to look at your YouTube Analytics if you’ve already uploaded videos. YouTube gives you detailed information on audience demographics, location, engagement and other helpful stats. You can also take your strategy a step further with YouTube reporting in Sprout Social and see how your content stacks up to another social video you’ve produced.

One of the simplest yet effective tactics to promote your YouTube channel is creating custom thumbnails.

Think of your title and thumbnail as a sort of one-two punch to grab a viewer’s attention.

By default, YouTube snags a screenshot from any given video and uses it for the thumbnail. Unfortunately, sometimes the image it grabs will be a blurry shot of you adjusting the camera or a transition.

Not a good look, right?

Creating thumbnails yourself not only makes your videos look more appealing at a glance but also signals a certain sense of professionalism.

Thumbnails don’t have to be rocket science, either. You can even create a template with a particular font and style to make it more consistent and on-brand. This is made especially easy with the help of image creation tools such as Canva.

Chances are you’re covering similar topics on YouTube that overlap with each other.

To squeeze more out of your older content, make a point to cross-promote your videos when it makes sense.

For example, you can drop links in the description of a video and encourage viewers to check them out as a sort of call-to-action. Although some might be disappointed by the recent removal of YouTube’s annotation system, linking in your description encourages viewers to watch your videos all the way through without clicking away.

As noted, YouTube is totally killing it when it comes to SEO.

And while you shouldn’t totally create content for search engines versus people, you should promote your YouTube channel with SEO in mind.

Specifically, product reviews, how-to’s and long-form (10+ minutes) videos covering keyword-specific topics tend to rank well in search engine results pages (SERPs). If you’re strapped for content ideas or want to capitalize on a trending buzzword in your industry, consider how you can do so through your YouTube channel marketing.

One of the best ways to promote your YouTube channel is by paying attention to your videos' SEO elements

2022 Toyota Tundra: All You Need To Know About This Ride

Starting at GH¢229,645.64, it’ll go on sale later this year with a new twin-turbo V-6 engine and suspension setup. The hybrid’s price won’t be announced until later.

Toyota redesigned the Tundra full-size pickup after 15 years with the hopes of making it more competitive with American trucks from Chevy, Ford, and Ram, all of which currently outsell the Tundra. It added features like a new coil-spring rear suspension, which should improve its ride, and a 14.0-inch touchscreen, the largest in its class. Those upgrades come at a cost, though, because the new Tundra’s starting price comes in at GH¢229,645.64 thus $37,645, higher than the domestic pickups.

That starting price is for the SR work truck model (pictured above) in standard extended-cab configuration with a 6.5-foot bed and rear-wheel drive. Toyota Tundra buyers have the choice of an extended- or crew-cab configuration with either a 5.5-, 6.5, or 8.1-foot bed depending on model, and four-wheel drive is available for an additional GH¢ 18,300.89 $3000. The Chevy Silverado, Ford F-150, and Ram 1500’s base work trucks all come in cheaper than the Tundra’s base price, but the Ford and Chevy have smaller regular cab options. The Ram, like the Tundra, is only available in extended- and crew-cab configurations. Comparing similar configurations, though, the Tundra is still more expensive, but the Ford reaches higher prices in its top-of-the-line trims.

The next step up from the base model is the Tundra SR5. It starts at $42,450 and comes standard with an 8.0-inch touchscreen, though the larger 14.0-inch unit is available, an analog gauge cluster, and cloth seats.

The Limited model costs $50,595 and is distinguished by chrome trim and gets the 14.0-inch touchscreen standard with synthetic leather seats. The Platinum model adds dark chrome exterior trim and a 12.3-inch digital gauge cluster along with a standard JBL sound system and leather seats and starts at GH¢ 350,817.46 thus $58,685. The 1794 model, which is available in Mesquite brown and either a cream or brown leather interior, starts at GH¢ 359,917.46 thus $59,385.

All of these starting prices are for Tundras powered by the new twin-turbocharged 3.4-liter V-6 making 348 hp and 405 pound-feet of torque in the base SR and 389 horsepower and 479 pound-feet of torque in the higher trim levels.

A new 437-hp hybrid i-Force MAX powertrain using the twin-turbo V-6 is available on the Limited model and above and standard on the off-road TRD Pro model. Toyota says it will announce pricing for the hybrid models closer to their on-sale date early next year.

Various equipment packages are available on the 2022 Tundra. A TRD sport package, only available on the SR5 model for $2190, lowers the truck and equips a TRD grille, black 20-inch TRD wheels, and a TRD leather shift knob.

The TRD Off-Road package is available on the SR5, Limited, and 1794 models, priced ranging from $1120 to $3085. It adds 20-inch wheels (18-inchers on the SR5), a TRD grille, Bilstein dampers, skid plates, mud guards, and the TRD shifter.

Four-wheel-drive models with the TRD Off-Road package add an electronically controlled rear locking differential and Toyota’s Multi Terrain Select drive modes. An air suspension, which can raise or lower the bed of the truck, is available for $650.

The 2022 Toyota Tundra will arrive at dealerships by the end of the year. Trucks equipped with the hybrid engine will arrive early next year.

How To Keep Your 1% Battery Power To Last Longer

When it comes to Smartphones, battery capacity is an important component that we take into account.

The Constant Fear of Being without a Phone and Low-Battery Anxiety

In today’s post, I’ll discuss some of the reasons why your smartphone’s 1% battery may survive a long time.

Now, one reason why your 1% battery may last a long time is that your phone is playing it safe. It has 1% battery remaining for you to utilize wifi, Bluetooth, stream a movie, or download a software update, but if you’re just browsing through your feed, 1% can last a long time.

Herein lays the argument that the 1% behavior is also influenced by psychology.

Modern batteries, by the way, cannot be fully charged or entirely discharged. Your smartphone contains a battery-saving protective circuit.

When your phone shuts down and indicates it has 0% battery left, there is actually a small amount of energy left in there, but your gadget is not built to use it.

If a current battery mysteriously depleted to 0%, you would be unable to charge it again and would be forced to purchase a new phone.
