Takoradi Again! Police Arrest 1 Woman And 2 Others For Faking A Kidnap With Ransom Of GH₵ 5,000.00

According to a report gathered from the Ghana Police Service (GPS), three persons have been arrested by the police division after planning a fake kidnapping incident.

The Ghana Police in their Facebook report shared as gathered by GhanaCNN.com that, the Takoradi Divisional Police Command has arrested three suspects, Joana Krah, aged 29; Susana Awortwe, aged 27 and Francis Eshun, aged 27 for allegedly faking a kidnap and demanding a ransom of Five-Thousand Ghana Cedis (GH₵ 5,000.00).

It could be recalled that a Takoradi woman dominated the media space for months recently after he came up with her controversial pregnancy and kidnapping case.

Josephine Panyin Mensah Simons who was at the center of the brouhaha was later exposed for faking the said kidnap.

Joana Krah, aged 29; Susana Awortwe, aged 27 and Francis Eshun, aged 27 also comes in with another fake kidnap as they make numerous attempts to receive a ransom of GH₵ 5,000.00.

The Asantehene, Otumfuo Osei Tutu II, is set to officially launch his Commemorative Gold Coins on December 12, 2021.

According to information summoned, the Gold Coins will be a fitting memorial in honour of His Majesty Otumfuo Osei Tutu II for the significant role he played in restoring peace to the Dagbon kingdom in the Northern Region of Ghana after decades of protracted Chieftaincy crisis between members of the royal gates.

The gold coins will also acknowledged Otumfuo’s role as a restraining influence that has manifested in almost every election cycle in Ghana.

That influence, additionally, has ensured peaceful elections, culminating in seamless transitions in governments, especially when power changed hands between the two dominant political parties in Ghana.

The face of the Gold Coin bears the image of Otumfuo, with the Adinkra symbols “Bi Nka Bi” on the left side and “Mpatapo,” on the right which symbolizes peace, harmony, and reconciliation.

The back of the Gold Coin bears the image of the Golden Stool of Asanteman also known as “Sikadwa Kofi.”

The Gold Coin will be 99.99% (24 karats) fine gold with a diameter of 37.00 mm and weighing 31.104 grams and it has been approved by the Bank of Ghana.

The NABJ Percy Qoboza Foreign Journalist of the Year Award. Percy Peter Tshidiso Qoboza, who the award is named after is an influential black South African journalist, author and outspoken critic of the government in South Africa during the early periods of world recognition of the problems evident in the racially divided land.

He was the editor of The World Newspaper in Soweto and his fluently persuasive editorials did much to challenge the white South Africans who were protected from the horrors of apartheid.

60-Year-Old Man Rapes A Goat To Death

A 60-year-old man in Malaysia could face 20 years in jail or whipping if he is found guilty of having sx with a goat.

Shaari Hasan was charged with voluntarily having ‘carnal intercourse’ with the animal on July 27.

The man was discovered by the goat’s owner after she heard it making strange sounds.

Going to check on the animal, she saw the man next to the goat, half-naked, Free Malaysia Today reports.

The man fled the scene and the goat was found dead.

The owner put in a complaint with the police and the carcass was sent to a veterinary service department for a post-mortem examination.

The accused widower was allegedly caught behind a house in the village of Kampung Sungai Buaya in Rawang, at around 1.30pm.

He initially pleaded guilty when the charge, under Article 377 of Malaysia’s criminal code, was first read out by judge Nurul Mardhiah Mohammed Redza.
