Free SHS: All SHS Students To Receive Free Tablets This Year – Vice President

The Vice President, Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia has announced plans by government to distribute free electronic tablets to all Senior High School (SHS) students across the country.

Dr. Bawumia says the move forms part of government’s digitization agenda.

The tablet, according to the Vice President will serve as alternative textbooks for the students.

The Vice President was speaking at this year’s New Year School at the University of Ghana, Legon.

“This year, we are on course to provide all Senior High School students in Ghana with tablets which are loaded with textbooks on them for their studies. That’s a very game-changing development. We will have past questions preloaded on these tablets that will be distributed.”

Government in the past announced its partnership with publishers in the country to roll out the initiative.

There are also plans to make free internet accessible to Senior High Schools and Tertiary institutions to improve teaching and learning.

Government has said it has already awarded the contract for the first batch of Wi-Fi installations to begin in some second cycle and tertiary institutions as part of the project.

An ICT female teacher has taken to the internet to confess how she mysteriously fell in love with one of her students while doing her National Service at one of the big Senior High Schools in the country.

According to this woman who anonymously confessed to Kofi Noel, she never imagined having $3x with the minor but it just happened after a series of visitations.

It all started on his first visit to his place where they had a brief chat and the boy left her place to his home.

On his second visit, they went the extra mile by discussing relationships which led to their first $3x.

She admired the minor’s big manhood which made her enjoy te bouts of $3x that fateful day.

After their first s3xual encounter, she sternly warned the boy never to tell anyone and additionally banned him from visiting her house.

After the stern warning, the boy looked sad hence she had to rescind her decision, they kept having $3x and now she’s pregnant.

She’s now in a state of dilemma because she wants to terminate the pregnancy but the student has strongly warned her not to touch the pregnancy because he wants the baby.

Education Ministry Cautions Against Payment Of Money To Secure School Placement

The Education Ministry has warned the public against the payment of money to secure their preferred choice of school during this year’s computerised school placement into second-cycle schools.

In a statement issued by the Ministry and signed by its Spokesperson, Kwasi Kwarteng stressed: “Kindly be reminded that, the School Selection and Placement process is purely on merit and no other consideration whatsoever.”

Reports are rife that some guardians and parents pay bribes to get their wards into grade A&B schools in the CSSPS placement of students.

Meanwhile, the Ministry has assured the public of a transparent, equitable, and merit-based placement process.
